An energy company engaged in hydrocarbon exploration came to us with a concept in mind to create new systems that could reduce costs and use modern elements and UX.

Devon needed to build new systems in order to replace the old ones that require licenses, reducing the cost associated, and also considering modern elements and UX. The main challenge was the fact that Devon didn’t have enough frontend expertise to build the tools following the best practices, as its engineers are mostly focused on backend development.

The creation of Inndrill, an in house development app that presents extensive information in sleek and functional graphics where users have the control to determine what information to display or filter through dynamic filters. With the challenge of handling massive amounts of data, Inndrill has incorporated a feature that allows the user to use the application without waiting for all the data to load. Instead, it loads the essential information needed for initial functioning, and continues to load necessary information in the background that might be used later.
